Your indoor skydiving experience in Birmingham gives you the chance to float on a column of air travelling at speeds of up to 120mph. You don't need any previous experience, as the instructors will show you what to do. The standard experience includes:
Two flights of around one minute each (the equivalent freefall time of three tandem skydives)
A safety briefing and training in basic flying techniques
All the equipment you need, including a flight suit, helmet and goggles
A flight certificate to remember your experience
What happens on the day?
You should allow around 1 hour 45 minutes for your visit and aim to arrive at least 45 minutes before your flight time. You'll be asked to complete a pre-flight waiver and watch the safety and training information before flying.
You'll then meet your instructor, get into your flight suit and helmet and learn the body positions and hand signals you'll use in the tunnel.
Once you're ready, it's time to fly! The instructor will help you find your flying position as the air lifts you off the ground. Friends and family can watch from outside, and photos or video may be available to purchase separately.
